QuickImageToText Terms and Conditions

By accessing and using QuickImageToText ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and QuickImageToText ("we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Service.

QuickImageToText provides a free online Optical Character Recognition (OCR) service that allows users to extract text from images. The service processes images client-side in your browser using WebAssembly technology.

Our service supports multiple image formats including JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIF, WEBP, and PDF files. The service is provided free of charge and requires no registration or account creation.

By using our Service, you agree to the following responsibilities:

• You will not upload images containing illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
• You will not use the Service to violate any local, state, national, or international law.
• You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any systems or networks connected to the Service.
• You will not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
• You are solely responsible for the content you upload and process through our Service.

Client-Side Processing: QuickImageToText processes all images locally in your browser. Your images and extracted text are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers.

No Data Storage: We do not store, collect, or retain any images you process or text extracted from those images. All processing happens entirely on your device.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our service. This includes page views, session duration, and browser information, but does not include any of your processed images or extracted text.

Cookies: Our website uses minimal cookies for analytics purposes only. No personal data is collected or stored in cookies.

Service Ownership: QuickImageToText, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by us and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

User Content: You retain all rights to the images you upload and the text extracted from them. We claim no ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.

License to Use Service: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location
• Any errors or defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components
• The results of using the Service will meet your requirements
• The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any extracted text will meet your expectations

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL QUICKIMAGETOTEXT, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
• Any errors or inaccuracies in text extraction or OCR results

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless QuickImageToText and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of your use and access of the Service, or a breach of these Terms.

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13 years of age, you are not permitted to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age.

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by QuickImageToText.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which QuickImageToText operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and QuickImageToText regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous written or oral agreements between you and QuickImageToText.
