How to Extract Text From Multiple Images at Once

To extract text from multiple images at once, add them all to a batch OCR tool, start one run, and download the combined result. Multi Image OCR reads up to 20 images per run in your browser and saves all the text in one file, with each image's text under its file name.

When is batch OCR worth it?

  • Scanned pagesA multi-page letter or report photographed page by page.
  • Business cardsA stack of cards turned into one list of names, numbers and emails.
  • ScreenshotsA chat, a long web page or slides captured in several shots.
  • Receipts and notesExpenses or study notes you want to search later.

How do you extract text from many images at once?

  1. Open the batch toolGo to Multi Image OCR.
  2. Add your imagesSelect or drop up to 20 files, each up to 10 MB. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and other common formats work.
  3. Choose the OCR languagePick the language the images are written in. One language applies to the whole run.
  4. Process allStart the run. Images are read one after another, and each gets its own result.
  5. DownloadCopy or download any single result, or download all the text as one file.

What does the combined file look like?

It is plain text. Each image gets a header with its number and file name, followed by its text and a separator line, so you can paste the whole thing into a document or split it again later.

What if my images are in different languages?

Run them in separate batches, one language per batch. Reading French text with the English model, for example, gives poor results. QuickImageToText supports 14 OCR languages.

Is batch OCR private?

Yes. Every image is processed in your own browser and none of them are uploaded, which matters when the batch contains IDs, contracts or customer details.

How do you get better results across a whole batch?

Shoot every page the same way: same light, same distance, straight from above. One blurry photo pulls down its own result only, so check the lowest confidence results first. Our guide on what affects OCR accuracy covers the details, and reading phone numbers from images shows how to clean up contact lists from business cards.
